Arne Slot to be gutted after what has happened to Ben Doak away from Liverpool
Ben Doak has seriously impressed this term after joining Middlesbrough on loan from Liverpool.
The 19-year-old has made himself a regular part of Michael Carrick’s team, making 24 Championship appearances across the season so far.
Doak has tallied up three goals and seven assists in the second tier, showing just what he is capable of.

Doak served blow at Middlesbrough
Doak’s impressive form has led to permanent interest in the 19-year-old and Ipswich Town made a bid for his services during the winter transfer window.
The Tractorboys saw a bid of £16million turned down by Liverpool as it was said that the Reds valued the youngster closer to £30million with Crystal Palace also showing interest.
Although Liverpool would have hoped that their decision for the player to stay put would benefit him as he continued to shine in the second-tier, an injury blow has left this unable to happen.

The 19-year-old has been out of the Boro squad since the start of February through injury, which has left him requiring surgery.
James Pearce reported on 6 March that Doak has undergone minor surgery on his thigh and is now back at Liverpool for rehab.
The surgery hasn’t ruled him out for the remainder of the season but he will miss a significant period of action, including the international break where he could have featured for Scotland.

Arne Slot to be gutted about Doak injury
Arne Slot has fitted into Liverpool perfectly with his side sitting at the top of the Premier League table, 13 points clear of Arsenal in second.
Although things are going well, there will no doubt be plenty of work taking place at Anfield during the summer transfer window as the boss looks to shape up his side for another successful season.
With Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah all nearing the end of their contracts in the summer, there are big decisions to be made which could change things massively at Anfield.
However, the boss may also be left with choices over some younger players too, which could include Doak given he has previously attracted interest.
Slot has shown he is not opposed to using younger players in his squad if they are good enough and with the way Doak has played this season so far, he could certainly be a name on Slot’s radar going forward.
That being said, this blow for the remainder of the season could keep the youngster subjected to too much time on the bench which could, in turn, have an effect on his future prospects at Anfield.
