Liverpool ready to sanction Anfield exit as part of Marc Guehi transfer
Arne Slot is set to oversee multiple exits from Anfield in the summer.
The Dutchman has shown his ruthless side when sanctioning sales in the transfer window to raise funds for potential new signings.
At one stage, Jarell Quansah looked to be the future of Liverpool’s defence, but the 22-year-old has since been sold to Bayer Leverkusen.
Despite rarely featuring at all last season under Slot, Harvey Elliott has reminded everyone of the quality he possesses after leading England Under21’s to European Championship success, as the midfielder prepares to leave the Reds.
Another promising youngster could also be on the chopping block as Liverpool continue their pursuit of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

Ben Doak could be used as part of a potential deal for Guehi
Doak enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Middlesbrough last season before injuries cut his time in North Yorkshire short.
His performances for Boro caught the eye of multiple clubs, who are now looking to secure the winger’s signature.
According to reports from The Guardian (30 June), Liverpool have been reported to be willing to use Doak as part of a deal for Guehi.
This comes after Palace expressed interest in signing the Scottish teenager back in January.
Ben Doak | Championship stats (2024/25 season) |
Appearences | 24 |
Total minutes | 1787 |
Goals | 3 |
Assists | 7 |
Previous reports have stated that the Reds value the youngster at around £25million, meaning he could significantly reduce the fee Liverpool would need to pay to sign Guehi.

Liverpool should sell Doak to help next season’s title bid
With Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk extending their stay in Merseyside, Liverpool must reward their loyalty.
Salah and van Dijk are both 33, and while they proved last season they are still the best players in the Premier League in their position, their window to win big trophies is closing.
If Slot can use a talented youngster in a deal to get a player who would dramatically strengthen his first team in Guehi, then it is a no-brainer.
With Liverpool’s aging spine, the Reds have to prioritise winning, while their legends such as Salah, Van Dijk, and Alisson continue to operate at a high level.
While Doak will likely go on to have a good career in football, he would not have been of much use for Liverpool in the title race next season, and that is exactly what Slot should be prioritising.
