Liverpool are in the midst of a huge squad rebuild, and have made a statement over their ambitions in the summer transfer market.

Arne Slot has led the way in spending as the Reds have signed Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez, with more set to follow.

Liverpool's incredible window of additions will be offset by exits, with Jarell Quansah set to follow Trent Alexander-Arnold out of Anfield.

More exits will now follow at Liverpool, and seven players are confirmed to be leaving over the course of the next day as another addition is targeted.

Liverpool announce seven departures

Liverpool have already announced that seven players will depart Anfield as their contracts come to an end at midnight on 30 June.

In a club statement on 6 June, they have confirmed that Dominic Corness, Louis Enahoro-Marcus, Harry Evers, Lee Jonas, Jakub Ojrzynski, Jacob Poytress and Reece Trueman will all leave Anfield as their contracts will not be renewed.

With a lot of players headed for the exit door this summer, there will be space for more recruits, and another could soon arrive in the shape of Marc Guehi.

Liverpool set sights on Marc Guehi

Liverpool will aim to strengthen their back four even further after the additions of Frimpong and Kerkez with Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi.

Quansah's departure has meant that extra depth will be necessary, and the uncertainty of Ibrahima Konate's Anfield future means that a quality addition such as Guehi could be vital for the coming seasons.

The 26-year-old has one year left on his deal at Palace, and Liverpool will aim to sign him for a cut-price fee after several outstanding seasons in the Premier League.

Liverpool have created extra space in their squad to facilitate Guehi's arrival, and talks are reportedly continuing to get the deal done in the coming weeks.
