Arne Slot can use Luis Enrique comments to Liverpool advantage v PSG
Arne Slot looks to have been given the perfect motivation as Liverpool prepare to take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Slot has settled into life at Anfield perfectly, with the Reds topping the Champions League table after the first phase while cruising to the Premier League title.
However, drawing a Luis Enrique side who are also doing very well, means they do not have an easy task ahead of them in the round of 16.
Enrique raves about Liverpool v PSG tie
The next round of Champions League games take place across two legs, meaning Liverpool have the relief of knowing that they will be heading back to Anfield before anything is decided.
Nevertheless, it is bound to be a tight game between the two sides who both sit 13 points clear at the top of their respective domestic leagues, as predicted by the Opta Super Computer.
While a defeat for either side would not be the end of the world with another game to follow, Slot will be keen for his side to have a hold on the game heading back to Merseyside to take some of the pressure off.

The Reds will have no doubts about their abilities this season and surely go into most games feeling confident given their record under Slot.
However, a game away at Paris Saint-Germain is a massive occasion where they can prove they are the very best in the world.

The opposition boss sees this to be the case as he has suggested that this is a game between two sides so competitive that it could be a Champions League final.
Although that could translate to pressure for some sides, Slot can use this scenario to push his squad forward ahead of the game.

A number of the senior Liverpool players were part of that squad and will know the feeling of winning the final and dealing with that pressure.
