Liverpool are looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season against Burnley on Sunday.

Liverpool's 1-0 win over Arsenal means that they remain the only side in the Premier League to have won all three games this season.

The Reds take on Burnley on Sunday, with the hosts looking to win back-to-back home matches.

This will be no easy test for Liverpool, and they'll be hoping they can count on Jeremie Frimpong.

Record signing Alexander Isak could make his debut, although his lack of match sharpness will likely mean that he'll be on the bench.

Jeremie Frimpong could return at Turf Moor

Frimpong looks set to return to the squad, having missed Liverpool's last two Premier League games due to injury.

Curtis Jones will miss the Burnley game, with Slot confirming that he sustained an injury against Arsenal.

With Jones the only guaranteed absentee, Slot will be relishing the prospect of having most of his players available.

Meanwhile, for the visitors, Scott Parker confirmed that Jordan Beyer, Zeki Amdouni and Connor Roberts are sidelined for the match - meaning four in total will definitely miss out for the two sides combined.

Dominik Szoboszlai will continue to step up in Jeremie Frimpong's absence

Szoboszlai has been excellent at right-back, deputising in an unfamiliar role whilst Frimpong has been injured.

  • He provided an assist for Frimpong's first Liverpool goal against Crystal Palace in the Community Shield
  • He provided a brilliant piece of magic in the build-up to Rio Ngumoha's winner against Newcastle
  • He scored an astonishing free-kick against title rivals Arsenal

The Hungary international has been excellent for Liverpool since joining the club last summer, forming a brilliant partnership with Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch at the heart of midfield.

As a right-back, he works perfectly when inverting in Slot's attacking system, and Burnley will have to do well to stop the 24-year-old from continuing his great run of form.
