Liverpool travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday looking to extend their perfect Premier League record.

Liverpool beat Southampton in Carabao Cup action last time out, but focus now returns to trying to retain their title.

Arne Slot will be worried by a new Liverpool reveal ahead of the clash on 27 September, with Palace being unbeaten in their last 17 matches in all competitions.

However, the Reds are unbeaten themselves since losing to the Eagles in the Community Shield in August and will fancy their chances of returning to Anfield with a positive result.

Team News

Mohamed Salah could return to the Liverpool team after sitting out of the Carabao Cup clash, alongside the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai, Ibrahima Konate, Ryan Gravenberch and Virgil van Dijk.

Hugo Ekitike is suspended after his red card against the Saints, so Alexander Isak is expected to start, with Jayden Danns potentially playing a backup role.

  • Ekitike has scored five goals in eight appearances since signing for the Reds this summer in a blistering start
  • However, he is suspended for the clash with the Eagles after picking up two yellow cards in the cup clash
  • Isak opened his account for the Anfield outfit against the Saints, but his fitness is in question, in terms of whether he can play the full 90 minutes

Slot could make nine changes in total, but there may not be room for Florian Wirtz in the starting line-up for the Reds.

Meanwhile, Yeremy Pino is a doubt for Glasner's side, and Walter Benitez, Chad Riad and Cheick Doucoure are ruled out.

Likely lineups

Crystal Palace: Henderson; Guehi, Richards, Lacroix; Munoz, Wharton, Hughes, Mitchell; Sarr, Pino; Mateta

Liverpool: Alisson; Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Salah, Isak, Gakpo

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool

The Reds seem to have a knack for winning even when it seems like they are down and out.

They could make a real statement by downing Glasner's in-form side on this occasion, and it seems foolish to bet against them.

The fact that the likes of Salah, Gravenberch and Van Dijk were rested in midweek could give them the edge in London.
