Whether Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss Liverpool vs Real Madrid amid injury latest

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s injury issue could force him to miss Real Madrid’s clash with Liverpool.

Liverpool supporters are still not over losing Alexander-Arnold, due to the controversial nature of his departure.

The boyhood Reds fan left the club that he had been a part of for 20 years to enhance his wider footballing legacy, but he ran his Anfield contract down to do so.

Liverpool are scheduled to play Real Madrid in the Champions League on 4 November, but Alexander-Arnold‘s involvement is far from guaranteed.

Will Trent Alexander-Arnold miss Liverpool return with Real Madrid?

Alexander-Arnold is a doubt for a potential Liverpool reunion, after he suffered a hamstring injury against Marseille in the Champions League.

Dr Brar believes that Alexander-Arnold may return for the Anfield contest, but has warned that it depends on the extent of the issue.

Speaking exclusively to Liverpool News, he said: “This will really depend on the extent of the injury. If this is a grade two (out of four) or lower, he has a good chance of returning.

“If it’s higher than that, it will be quite doubtful to return in that timeframe, particularly to a match of that intensity.”

Liverpool will be desperate to get revenge on Real Madrid

Alexander-Arnold joining the Spanish giants rubbed further salt in the Reds’ wounds as they beat the L4 outfit in two Champions League finals in 2017 and 2022.

Arne Slot and Co. will be keen to get revenge on Madrid for those results, and also for poaching their homegrown hero for a nominal figure of £8.5million.

If the former Reds star is not involved, it would potentially lessen the satisfaction of beating Kylian Mbappe and Co. a little bit.

It would still be a great result, but the idea of revenge over a player who left in such a disappointing way, to join a team that has caused them so much pain, would make it so much sweeter.
