Liverpool fans in total agreement after what Florian Wirtz did on Premier League debut
Florian Wirtz made his highly anticipated Premier League debut for Liverpool against Bournemouth on Friday night.
The reigning champions looked to be cruising at 2-0 up, but after a brace from Antoine Semenyo got the visitors back into the game, Federico Chiesa was Liverpool’s hero as he put the Reds 3-2 up in the 88th minute.
A spectacular finish from Mohamed Salah rounded out a 4-2 win and ensured the Egyptian extended one of his Premier League records.
Amidst all the chaos, Liverpool supporters have now reflected on their marquee signing Wirtz and his debut at Anfield.

Liverpool fans impressed with Wirtz as interesting statistic emerges
Similar to the great Jurgen Klopp, Arne Slot demands that his Liverpool side play with what is now their trademark intensity.
Typically, players with Wirtz’s technical quality in the past would often saunter around in the number ten role in the past, only contributing whilst their side are attacking.
Obviously, it’s still early days, but Liverpool fans will be delighted to find out that the German covered the most ground during the game against Bournemouth.
In a stat posted on X by journalist Bence Bocsak, he revealed that the 11.3km that Wirtz covered during the game was the most of any player.
Although the 22-year-old may not have registered a goal contribution, there were many promising signs, and the Anfield faithful seem to be convinced they have a serious player on their hands when he fully settles.
Indeed, supporters were in unison that Wirtz showed the odd glimmer of quality and simply needs to be given time to settle.
Liverpool supporters must not rise to Wirtz criticism from rivals
Social media regarding football is notoriously toxic, and due to Wirtz’s hefty price tag, naturally, every touch the German takes pass he attempts is already being heavily scrutinised by rival supporters who are desperate for Wirtz to flop.
Others purely determine Wirtz’s success based on just goals or assists, making his performance against Bournemouth a ‘disaster’ when this is far from the case.
The truth is, everyone is aware of just how talented Wirtz is, and it is in everyone else’s best interests that the German international struggles to adapt to life in Merseyside.
Once Wirtz fully settles, the prospect of making the trip to Anfield will make opposition defenders lose even more sleep than what it does at the moment.
