Mohamed Salah has been a phenom since he signed for Liverpool back in 2017.

The Egyptian has established himself as a world-class player for coming up to nearly a decade now and has fired the Reds to numerous trophies over the years.

Salah's trophy haul whilst at Liverpool so far:

  • 2x Premier League
  • 1x Champions League
  • 1x UEFA Super Cup
  • 1x FA Cup
  • 1x Club World Cup
  • 2x League Cup
  • 1x Community Shield

His goalscoring form has also shattered too many records to count up to this point, but Salah has a chance to break yet another one later this week when the Reds take on Bournemouth.

Salah could extend his remarkable record with a goal against Bournemouth

This should not be a concern for Liverpool supporters, however, as Salah has a reputation for starting Premier League campaigns quickly.

Last season, his opening day goal against Ipswich ensured he set the record for most goals scored on the opening day by any player in the history of the Premier League with nine.

  • Salah's goal against Ipswich meant he overtook the likes of Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, Alan Shearer and Jamie Vardy, who all have eight goals on the opening day respectively

When the Reds take on Bournemouth on Friday, Salah has a chance to extend this remarkable record and become the first player to hit double digits for goals on the first game of the season.

Liverpool's forward line is terrifying

With Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz both impressing already, Liverpool arguably have the best attack in world football, with Salah still set to be a vital part of the forward line.

At 33, if the winger can get anywhere close to the phenomenal output he had last season, he will have had yet another wonderful season.

Despite their defeat on penalties to Palace, Liverpool are still the favourites to retain their Premier League title, with Salah being a large reason as to why.
