Jayden Danns faces new uncertainty as Liverpool agree big deal, loan beckons
Jayden Danns has emerged as a top talent for Liverpool in the past two seasons.
Danns, 19, made his Premier League debut in February 2024, coming on as a substitute in a 4-1 victory over Luton Town.
Within a week, the striker had won his first trophy in the form of the Carabao Cup and scored his first goal for the first team, scoring a brace in a 3-0 victory over Southampton.
However, his opportunities have since been limited, with just four appearances in all competitions last season, including another goal in the FA Cup against Accrington Stanley.
After failing to make an appearance for Sunderland after moving there on loan due to injury, Danns could be set for another loan spell.

Danns departure looks certain as Ekitike fee agreed
Liverpool have agreed a fee to sign Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Ekitike, 23, is set to sign a six-year contract at Anfield after the Reds agreed a fee that could reach £82million.
The Frenchman’s arrival will likely see a reshuffle in the forward line this summer, with Darwin Nunez set to leave Merseyside.
Danns could be another casualty, as another loan spell could be on the cards for the youngster, with game time with the Reds set to be limited to cup appearances.
Danns needs development before challenging Ekitike at Anfield
The Englishman has emerged as one of the best talents in the Reds academy in recent years.
However, his talent is still raw, and he isn’t ready for regular minutes with the Premier League Champions.
Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists |

Had he been able to show off his talents in the Championship with the Black Cats last season, he could have been a great back-up option for Arne Slot in yet another long campaign.
However, Danns remains at least one year away from becoming a breakthrough star at Liverpool.
