Liverpool attacker Jayden Danns is the subject of interest from three Championship clubs, according to James Pearce.

The Atheltic reporter shared on 21 January that Stoke City, Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers are interested in a loan deal for the 19-year-old.

The England Under-18 international missed a significant chunk of the season with a back injury but returned in late November and netted a goal in the 4-0 FA Cup win over Accrington Stanley on 11 January.

Arne Slot admitted in his press conference (17 January) before the 2-0 victory over Brentford that the club are not sure whether to loan Danns out before 3 February.

Liverpool to sanction Jayden Danns deal?

The young star's performance against the League Two outfit had led to calls for him to stay on Merseyside and be a part of the first-team squad.

He has featured seven times for the senior team, scoring a goal every 33 minutes in those appearances.

However, with Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz ahead of him in the pecking order, he would be unlikely to get regular game time at Anfield shortly.

A loan move is probably the best option for his development at this point as he would be playing senior football each week and developing consistently and could come back and fight for a first-team place next season.

Given the injury-prone nature of Jota, the poor form of Diaz and the frustrating inconsistency of Nunez, he could also feature if he sticks around but it would not be as beneficial as a loan deal in the Championship.

It remains to be seen what the Reds decide to do with their homegrown star in the making.
