‘Arne Slot already has Luis Díaz replacement’ as Liverpool ready contract offer
Arne Slot will not be too disheartened to see Luis Díaz depart Liverpool.
Díaz has become the talk of the summer with Barcelona and Bayern Munich both interested in signing the Colombian.
At first, Liverpool had closed the door to a potential departure, but their resolve appears to have thwated as the summer persists.
However, for supporters worried about losing Díaz, fears could be eased by the fact that Slot appears to already have a perfect long-term replacement lined up.

Rio Ngumoha to sign first professional Liverpool contract
As reported by Liverpool Echo on Saturday (12 July), Ngumoha will sign his first professional contract with Liverpool following his 17th birthday next month.
The highly-rated teenager joined from Chelsea last summer, but joined on scholarship terms due to restrictions on youth signings.
Player | Season | Club | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Rio Ngumoha | 2024/25 | Liverpool | 26 | 2 | 4 |
The youngster shone during his senior debut against Accrington Stanley in the Reds’ third-round FA Cup win. His performance earned him Kylian Mbappe comparisons before he was named in the squad for Liverpool’s shock defeat to Plymouth Argyle the following round.
It has been suggested that Ngumoha could be loaned to Preston after his pre-season performance at Deepdale. However, Slot could be tempted to reward him with the nod next season.
Indeed, his energetic showings on the left wing could see him replace Díaz if the 28-year-old leaves Anfield this summer. Teams across Europe have grown more reliant on their young talent, and this development could see Liverpool continue this trend.

Liverpool should sell Díaz for the right amount
Díaz played an important role in Liverpool’s Premier League title success last season. However, if the right offer lands at Anfield, FSG should consider his sale.
It has been widely reported that Hugo Ekitike is set to join the Reds this summer. While primarily a centre-forward, he has terrorised defenders on several occasions on the left wing.
As a result, Liverpool could have both Ngumoha and Ekitike inject some much-needed youth on the flanks.
Furthermore, it has also been suggested that Díaz is keen on a transfer this summer. The last thing Liverpool need is to retain a player with a wandering eye when looking to retain the Premier League.
Therefore, Slot should consider permitting Díaz to leave if an acceptable offer comes along.
