Liverpool transfer cheat sheet: Done deals, rumoured new signings and likely next sale
Liverpool are set to reform their squad ahead of Arne Slot’s second season in charge.
Slot easily won the Premier League with a squad which was largely inherited from his predecessor, Jurgen Klopp, at Anfield.
The Reds‘ title win may have been unexpected, and despite their success, investment has already been delivered to try and win a record-breaking 21st league title.

Here at Liverpool News, we run through what new faces have already arrived at Anfield, preview who could be set to join them, and inform you about what players will likely leave Merseyside.
Liverpool done deals
Liverpool have already invested heavily ahead of the new campaign, with pre-season preparations set to ramp up with their friendly against Preston North End.
The arrival of Florian Wirtz is Slot’s statement summer signing, costing up to £116million, but this could prove to be the finest bit of business in the entire Premier League.
The 22-year-old German has risen to prominence in recent seasons, with his performances for Bayer Leverkusen leading to him being regarded as one of the best attacking midfielders in world football.

Wirtz could easily play in the midfield or the front three of Liverpool’s side, giving Slot multiple tactical options going into next season.
Joining Wirtz in L4 is Jeremie Frimpong, who also signed from Leverkusen for around £34.5million.
Frimpong was also a pivotal part in the success of Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen side in recent years, with the Dutchman operating as a right-wing back.
Like Wirtz, Frimpong himself is a versatile player and could find himself playing at right-back or on the wing for Liverpool next season.
It was important for the Reds to address the right side of their defence after Trent Alexander-Arnold’s controversial move to Real Madrid.
Like Trent, Frimpong is also very attacking-minded, scoring five times and setting up a further five goals last season in the Bundesliga.

Trent and Andy Robertson’s legendary full-back partnership is set to be completely broken, with Milos Kerkez being signed from Bournemouth to likely become the new starting left-back.
The 21-year-old Hungarian had a breakout season for the Cherries’ last campaign, scoring twice and registering five assists whilst starting all 38 of Bournemouth’s Premier League games.
Kerkez’s fine form saw him nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award before making the £40.4million move to Anfield.
Alongside these marquee signings, Armin Pecsi and Freddie Woodman have arrived to boost the Reds’ goalkeeping department.

Next Liverpool signings
Liverpool do not seem to be finished there, however, with multiple more exciting additions linked with a move to the champions.
Hugo Ekitike has been rumoured as a player who could fill the current striker void in Liverpool’s squad, being touted as the next Karim Benzema.
The French striker, 23, had an outstanding campaign for Frankfurt, and with a move for Alexander Isak seeming unlikely, Liverpool may have found the man to lead their line for the next decade.

In addition to a striker, Liverpool are on the hunt for a long-term centre back to partner Virgil van Dijk.
With Ibrahima Konate’s long-term future in a red shirt seemingly uncertain, Liverpool must get ahead of the curve and sign a defender.
Marc Guehi is someone who would perfectly fit the bill and be a quality addition to Slot’s backline.
The Crystal Palace defender’s form has seen him win 23 caps for England whilst becoming recognised as one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League.

Luis Diaz to leave Merseyside
Diaz could be on his way out of Liverpool in the summer, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich reportedly interested in the Colombian winger.
With Diaz’s camp reportedly unhappy about how Liverpool have gone about their contract renewal talks with the 28-year-old, the winger’s departure seems more realistic than ever.
With a £60million price tag on his head, the sale of Diaz could raise funds for a worthy replacement such as Rodrygo or Anthony Gordon.
Despite his productive Premier League campaign in which he notched 13 goals, if Diaz is unhappy and wants to leave, like some reports suggest, then Liverpool should cash in on the Colombian.
