Harvey Davies joins Crawley Town on loan after contract renewal
Liverpool have always had one of the greatest academies in world football.
Throughout the years, stars such as Steven Gerrard and Trent Alexander-Arnold have gone on to win numerous trophies at the Merseyside club after breaking into the first team.
Now, Harvey Davies is aiming to follow this route, with the promising goalkeeper signing a new contract on Thursday before being loaned out.
Liverpool’s official website (26 June) confirmed that the 21-year-old has now been sent out on loan to Crawley Town in a bid to secure regular first-team football after signing the new deal.
Davies is highly rated at Liverpool and has already been involved in the matchday squad 18 times. However, he is yet to make his debut for the Reds.
The England Under-20s goalkeeper has been at the Merseyside club since he Under-9s level and is now looking to take the next step in his career.
Slot needs to take care of Liverpool’s academy
With Liverpool making all these new signings, the one thing Slot could be in danger of is ignoring the academy next season.
Liverpool have multiple excellent prospects coming through the ranks, and the Dutchman needs to ensure they still receive chances in the first team next season.
