Jayden Danns and Liverpool midfielder – Three players Arne Slot could loan
Arne Slot’s strategic reshaping of Liverpool’s squad is set to be a defining feature of this summer.
While the focus remains on exciting new arrivals, the intelligent management of departures is equally crucial for balancing the books, creating space for fresh talent, and ensuring a cohesive unit for the new manager.
Slot’s vision demands a particular set of attributes, and some existing players will be loaned out to acquire and develop the traits required.
Here, Liverpool News examines three players who could realistically be sent out to get more game time to aid their development.

Jayden Danns
Jayden Danns is a highly-rated striker from the academy.
The 19-year-old made a memorable impact for the first team last season, even bagging a few goals. He possesses a natural goalscoring instinct and good predatory movement.
However, despite his senior outings, Danns is still very much in the early stages of his development and needs regular, competitive game time to refine his all-around play, hold-up ability, and tactical understanding.
The youngster spent the second half of this season on loan at Sunderland, and could make a temporary move away from Anfield once more.
With Liverpool’s forward line already strong, a loan to a League One or Championship club would provide him with the physical challenge and consistent exposure to senior defenders required to bridge the gap between academy football and the demands of the Premier League.
This experience would be crucial for him to bulk up, learn the nuances of leading the line, and prove he can be a prolific scorer at senior level.

Kaide Gordon
Once heralded as one of the brightest talents in the academy, Kaide Gordon’s progress has been unfortunately hampered by significant long-term injury troubles.
Despite these setbacks, he possesses immense natural ability, including close control, dribbling, and an eye for goal. He had loan spells at Norwich and Portsmouth last season, though these were affected by his fitness.
For Gordon, the primary goal of any loan move this summer must be consistent game time and a sustained period of fitness to regain his rhythm and confidence.
A lower-league Championship or a strong League One club, where the pressure might be slightly less intense but the minutes are guaranteed, would be an ideal environment for him to restart his development.
He must build up his resilience and demonstrate he can consistently perform at a senior level, unlocking the huge potential that he undoubtedly possesses.

Stefan Bajcetic
The Spanish midfielder burst onto the scene in the 2022/23 season, showcasing maturity and composure beyond his years.
Club | Appearances | Goals |
Liverpool | 22 | 1 |
A significant injury, however, subsequently curtailed his progress.
Last season saw Stefan Bajcetic embark on a split loan spell between Red Bull Salzburg and Las Palmas, gaining valuable minutes.
While Slot will undoubtedly be keen to assess Bajcetic in pre-season, especially given his potential, the sheer depth in Liverpool’s midfield, combined with the need for him to consistently regain match fitness and rhythm, makes a further loan move highly likely.
A full season as a regular starter in a competitive league, perhaps the Championship or another top European division, would be ideal for him to solidify his comeback and further hone his defensive midfield craft, proving he can withstand the challenges of senior football week in, week out.
