Liverpool fans mock Man United after Malaysia scenes – ‘Shameless’

Liverpool supporters have been handed another reason to laugh at Manchester United.

Many Reds fans grew up in the era of Sir Alex Ferguson, when the Old Trafford outfit were the dominant force in English football and the Anfield team struggled to compete.

However, that is not the case anymore, as Ruben Amorim’s side finished 15th as Arne Slot’s side won the title at a canter to level the record for all-time league wins alongside United.

Man United misery continues as Liverpool celebrate success

The Red Devils have embarked on a pre-season tour of Asia just days after the Premier League concluded and the Reds celebrated their title success with a huge parade.

However, just like their league campaign, it has already descended into a shambles as they lost 1-0 to the ASEAN All-Stars on Wednesday (28 May).

Their opponents were a team that were put together just for that match, with players from South East Asian nations and did not include stars from the likes of Japan and South Korea, making it even more embarrassing.

Liverpool fans brutally mock United after Asian tour woes

United have been criticised for playing a pointless match so close to the end of the season with concern over player welfare, something which former Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was vocal about in his time on Merseyside.

The result of the contest has led to even more ridicule for the Europa League final losers, with Reds supporters unable to resist having a dig after the shock result.

The fact that their arch-rivals are suffering gives huge satisfaction for fans of the L4 outfit after being forced to watch their successes as their own side suffered.

While the shoe is on the other foot, they will take full advantage and rib their rival supporters, especially in the social media era, even if it is just a meaningless friendly.

Ferguson often spoke of knocking Liverpool off their perch in his era, well, the Reds are well and truly back on it and his former side are wasting away in the doldrums at the moment, with no sign of a revival being on the cards.
