“It would be a big markup, because the initial fee was only somewhere around £8-10million with a few add-ons from Middlesbrough, he would now be worth at least worth five or six times that fee.
“Finances are finances, I’m never quite sure where every club is exactly with that, but he would certainly be a saleable player at a big profit, and they might have to bite that bullet.
“I can’t believe that Unai Emery or anyone else at Aston Villa really wants to see him go.
“There would be a queue half around the block, not only from English clubs I suspect, either.”
Rogers would be a brilliant addition for Liverpool
