Hansi Flick stance emerges as Barcelona eye Liverpool ace Luis Diaz
Liverpool ace Luis Diaz is continuing to attract interest from LaLiga giants Barcelona.
Colombia ace Diaz is facing an uncertain future at Anfield amid reports Barca are interested in securing his signature in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool have just wrapped up the Premier League title, of course, but it is not beyond the realms of possibility that Arne Slot looks to freshen up his attacking ranks ahead of next season.

Flick approves the signing of Diaz
According to Spanish publication Sport (20 May), Diaz is Barcelona’s number one target going into the transfer window.
Flick and the Barcelona hierarchy have identified their need for a left winger in order to make their forward line more unpredictable and lessen the burden currently placed on teenage sensation Lamine Yamal.
It is said that Flick has approved the club’s choice to target Diaz in the transfer window, with Barca ready to put all their resources into signing a winger.
Sport added that Barca would be willing to offer around £72million to take Diaz to Camp Nou.

Liverpool have Diaz decision to make
Diaz has been an integral part of Arne Slot’s title-winning side this season.
He is the Reds’ second top goal scorer in the Premier League this season, scoring 13 goals and laying on a further five assists.

Rumours have already begun to circulate about the likes of Darwin Nunez, and other members of Liverpool’s forward line, such as Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa, have also failed to meet expectations this season.
These would be the types of players that you would assume Slot would be looking to move on in the summer, not his second-highest goalscorer this season.
Losing multiple forwards in the same summer would present Slot with an almighty rebuild going into his second season.
However, selling a player of Diaz’s quality could potentially free up funds to pursue the likes of Florian Wirtz, for example.
After limited activity in last summer’s window, Slot may want to build a new look Liverpool team in his image as he looks to retain Liverpool’s Premier League title in his second season.
