Alexander Isak transfer ‘green-lighted’ after transfer costs named for Liverpool
Arne Slot has some big decisions to make ahead of the summer transfer window, before he prepares to strengthen his Liverpool side.
The Dutchman has had a perfect start to life on Merseyside, winning the Premier League title on the first time of asking.
However, Slot will have to be prepared to add to his squad over the summer transfer window as he looks for success in cup competitions too.

Liverpool receive transfer cost for Mohammed Kudus
With the success that has been present at Anfield this season, it will undoubtedly be a ground that is at the top of many lists in the summer transfer window.
Furthermore, Slot has shown his ability to put together a squad that plays good football, with the retention of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk speaking volumes about that.
It has been reported that one man who is keen on a move to play in Red over the summer is West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus.
Liverpool are said to be closely monitoring the attacker and Slot is expected to have the final say on this decision.
If the Premier League champions do want to gain his services for next season, though, it is reported that a valuation of £80million will need to be met.

Liverpool must spend their money wisely
Slot is looking to strengthen in several places during the summer and although Liverpool have money to spend, he needs to be wise in how he spends it.
Alexander Isak is a big target for the Reds, although a move looks doubtful with Newcastle United having slapped a massive price tag on their star player.
With Liverpool clearly wanting certain players, it’s not surprising that other sides are putting their prices high to protect themselves and also drive up what the Reds would have to shell out.
However, when you consider the price tag on Kudus and compare that to a potential £100million for Isak, it suddenly doesn’t look like such a bad offer.
Player | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Kudus | 28 | 4 | 2 |
Isak | 31 | 22 | 6 |
If you are looking for someone who is going to add to the goal tally, it’s clear that Isak is more likely to fit the bill and splashing out on him would cover the goals you would miss out on if you passed on a player like Kudus.
The West Ham man has not done enough to justify his £80m price tag this summer and if Slot has the say, he has to seek the big splash of cash to be green-lighted for Isak rather than wasting a massive sum on someone who will not add anywhere near as much.
