Jordan Henderson reacts as Andy Robertson sends heartfelt Liverpool message

Jordan Henderson captained Liverpool to their Premier League title success in 2020 under Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp’s successor, Arne Slot, has made himself an instant hero at Anfield by guiding the Reds to their second top-flight triumph in five years when they beat Tottenham on Sunday.

Andy Robertson has been a key figure for Liverpool in both of their Premier League title successes, this time helping the Merseyside giants move level with bitter rivals Manchester United on 20 top-flight trophies.

The Reds cruised to a 5-1 victory over Spurs on 27 April despite falling behind to Dominic Solanke’s opening goal.

Jordan Henderson responds to Robertson’s emotional Instagram post

Robertson made his 31st Premier League appearance of the season as Slot’s men hammered Tottenham at Anfield to claim top-flight glory with four games to spare.

The Scotland international posted on Instagram on Monday (28 April): “Think we will all remember yesterday for a long, long time! Special day with special people.”

Henderson commented with a red heart emoji.

Slot may look to rotate his squad now Liverpool have won the title

Although Liverpool have already clinched the Premier League title, the Anfield faithful will be eager to see their side enjoy a strong ending to a memorable campaign.

With four games left to play, the Reds will be keen to add more points to their tally and head into next season full of confidence.

Liverpool supporters will particularly hope to see their side emerge victorious over fellow top-five sides Chelsea and Arsenal on 4 May and 11 May respectively.

But while Slot’s side look to continue their momentum, the Dutchman could now take the opportunity to have a look at the players in his squad who he has not regularly selected, now that the Reds have already claimed Premier League glory.

Summer signing Federico Chiesa has still made just four top-flight outings for Liverpool, and no Premier League starts, which is something Slot could now look to rectify.

Meanwhile, the likes of Wataru Endo and Harvey Elliott could now be handed rare starting 11 opportunities.
