Harry Kane to be ‘brilliant’ Liverpool signing after Anfield transfer news

Liverpool could be set for a huge summer transfer window as they prepare to lift the Premier League title this season.

If Crystal Palace beat Arsenal on Wednesday, Arne Slot’s men will be celebrating their first top-flight title since 2020.

Meanwhile, the Reds have set their sights on a swoop for England record goal scorer Harry Kane, who has scored 36 goals in all competitions for Bayern Munich this season.

The 31-year-old previously proved his attacking prowess in the Premier League with Tottenham, but never won a trophy in his time with the North Londoners.

Kane would be a brilliant signing for Liverpool

Bayern Munich sit eight points clear of second-place Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the Bundesliga with just four games remaining, largely thanks to Kane’s goal-scoring efforts.

Ally McCoist, speaking live on talkSPORT [23 April, 9:41 am], reacted to the news, saying: “I think he’d be a brilliant centre-forward for Liverpool.”

The England international scored once again on Sunday as Bayern increased their lead at the top of the Bundesliga with a 4-0 win at Heidenheim.

Kane would be a great signing for Liverpool

The Reds have already enjoyed a fantastic Premier League campaign and could be deservedly crowned champions as soon as Wednesday.

Kane could be a quality signing for Liverpool

But there is still room for improvement for the Anfield giants, who were knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship strugglers Plymouth, beaten by PSG in the Champions League, and defeated by Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final.

Liverpool will be hungry to win more trophies next season, and enjoying a strong transfer window could bolster their chances of doing that.

Slot’s men could spend £100million to secure the services of Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, while they remain keen on Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez.

But if the Reds cannot secure the services of Isak, Kane could prove to be an equally top-class addition for the Merseyside outfit, given his prolific tendencies.

The Englishman is set to win the Bundesliga title with Bayern, and could be keen on making a Premier League return ahead of next season.
