Arne Slot ‘cannot afford to repeat Kostas Tsimikas mistake’ v Leicester
Arne Slot has not gotten much wrong since joining Liverpool last summer.
The Reds are in pole position to lift the Premier League title with a 13-point advantage over Arsenal with just six matches left to play.
They could wrap up the title with victory against Leicester (20 April) if Ipswich defeat Mikel Arteta’s side earlier in the day, otherwise it could be against Tottenham the week after.
However, the Dutchman cannot afford to make the same mistake that he did against West Ham in the 2-1 win (13 April), if his side are to do so.

Tsimikas struggles in rare Liverpool start
Kostas Tsimikas has started just six league matches this season and that was evident against the Hammers on Sunday.
The Greek international struggled to influence proceedings at either end in the Anfield contest as he replaced Andy Robertson in the starting line-up.
The 28-year-old was substituted for the Scotsman on the hour mark and failed to impress in a rare starting berth.
From an attacking perspective, he created just one chance, completed zero dribbles and just one of six attempted crosses for a 17 per cent success rate. [Fotmob]
Stats | Tsimikas v West Ham |
Chances created | 1 |
Crosses attempted | 1/6 (17%) |
Interceptions | 1 |
Ground duels won | 3/6 (50%) |
Defensively, he made just one interception and one recovery and only attempted one tackle, which he won.
In terms of duels, he won three of six for a 50 per cent success rate on the ground and did not contest any battles in the air.

Liverpool exit looms for Tsimikas
Tsikimas could be one of several players to leave in the summer transfer window as Slot overhauls his squad.
The former Olympiakos man is clearly not a long-term solution for the Dutch manager as he has found his chances limited this season.
An exit makes sense for both parties, as the player deserves regular playing time and the Reds could recoup a decent fee for his services.
Given that the Anfield outlet have shown interest in Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez, Tsimikas would find himself even further on the periphery if he was to sign on Merseyside.
The Greece ace has been the subject of interest from three top-flight clubs, according to reports from his homeland and it may be time to move on after an admirable stint as a backup.
