Liverpool fans turn on Arne Slot after Fulham loss – ‘Been figured out’

Liverpool fans have been left frustrated with Arne Slot following their defeat against Fulham.

The Reds were involved in a five-goal thriller against Fulham on Sunday (6 April), suffering a 3-2 loss as Marco Silva’s men stepped up their pursuit of European football.

It has been an impressive period for Fulham as they have defeated Arsenal and Liverpool back-to-back, showcasing the threat that they possess.

However, it was a frustrating day at the office for the Reds as Alexis Mac Allister had initially given them a one-goal lead in the 14th minute.

Fulham responded with a blistering 15-minute period where Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Iwobi and Rodrigo Muniz all got on the scoresheet to put them 3-1 up going into the break.

Luis Diaz was able to score in the 72nd minute to give Slot’s men some hope, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation.

Liverpool’s Premier League title hopes haven’t been damaged

Liverpool’s defeat didn’t end up having huge consequences on their overall position in the Premier League, though, as Arsenal drew against Everton the day before.

Mikel Arteta’s men failed to take advantage of the situation and didn’t really apply much pressure other than a single point.

The Gunners now sit 11 points behind Liverpool, with time starting to run out now for them to mount any form of sensational comeback.

Arne Slot’s tactics are being questioned

While Liverpool weren’t punished for their mistakes in the Premier League table, that doesn’t mean that the defeat against Fulham had zero impact on the Merseyside giants.

What it did do was rock the confidence of Liverpool’s fanbase in Slot’s ability to manage the team moving forward.

The Dutchman seems set to win the Premier League in his first season at Liverpool, but some supporters are starting to sour on him and his tactics, as they’re worried he’s not reactive enough during games when it comes to changing formation or personnel.
