Gary Neville makes shock Liverpool admission in Premier League title prediction
Liverpool’s Premier League title aspirations were dented on Sunday as they suffered a surprise defeat against Fulham.
Arne Slot’s team lost for just the second time in the Premier League this season in a five-goal thriller at Craven Cottage on Sunday (6 April).
Fulham scored three goals in the space of 14 minutes after Alexis Mac Allister had given Liverpool the lead in the 14th minute of the game to put themselves comfortably ahead.
Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Iwobi and Rodrigo Muniz put Marco Silva’s men in a commanding position heading into the second half, and while Luis Diaz did score in the second half, the Reds were unable to get an equaliser.
Liverpool escaped too much punishment due to the fact that Arsenal were also held to a draw against Everton this past weekend.

Neville makes a surprise admission
Liverpool’s defeat against Fulham was something that left fans surprised due to the dominant manner in which Liverpool have played this season in the Premier League.
However, Man United legend Gary Neville doesn’t believe the situation is too worrying for people associated with the Reds.
Despite Neville’s obvious feelings toward Liverpool, he has surprisingly backed them to win the title with ease while explaining to fans why it’s understandable for them to lose at this stage in the season.

During the latest Gary Neville Podcast he said: “It just looked like a team to me that knew that they’d won the league by winning on Wednesday against Everton at home in a big game and then obviously Arsenal not winning yesterday.
“It was almost like, ‘We can afford to make a mistake here,’ and life almost just has a habit when you take a breath, it gives you a little punch and a little dig, and I think that’s what Liverpool have had.
“It’s not unsurprising that Liverpool have gone down there today, and a little bit of a celebration type day. They know they’ve won the league, they can make mistakes.
“What they’ve got to make sure is that they don’t make it scruffy.”
Liverpool want to wrap the title race up
Even though Liverpool have a commanding 11-point lead over the Gunners with seven games to go, their recent form has been concerning.
The Reds were knocked out of the Champions League and lost the EFL Cup final before the recent international break, and while they defeated Everton in midweek, the loss against Fulham will be worrying some fans.
Liverpool fans want to see the title race wrapped up as quickly as possible to ensure that there is no room for any potential scares from Mikel Arteta’s side.
On top of that, after such a dominant season, Liverpool want to pick up the title with a significant points gap to showcase that, rather than risk allowing Arsenal to close the gap.
