Liverpool aim to beat Real Madrid to signing of £42.5m ace Arne Slot loves
Liverpool have a lot of work to do in the upcoming summer transfer window, and are already eyeing up some high-profile targets.
Several key players could be headed for the exit door, with Trent Alexander-Arnold heading to Real Madrid, while Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are yet to agree on new contracts.
A number of other attackers could leave, with Luis Diaz also linked with an exit, and it is shaping up to be a difficult summer window for Arne Slot.
However, Liverpool could be in the market for some high-profile signings, and have now been linked with one of the most sought-after names in Europe.

Liverpool eye up Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller
Liverpool have now been linked with another midfielder to strengthen their options in the middle of the park, in Stuttgart star Angelo Stiller.
Spanish outlet Fichajes have reported that Slot is very keen on signing the 24-year-old, who is valued at around £42.5m.
| Stat | Angelo Stiller |
| Appearances | 75 |
| Goals | 5 |
| Assists | 12 |
Stiller has been labelled the ‘next Joshua Kimmich,’ and Real Madrid are also keen on bringing him in.
The 24-year-old has been outstanding for Stuttgart, and helped them reach the Champions League last season with a historic second-place finish in the Bundesliga.
The German typically plays at the base of midfield, and he could solve a long-term problem for Liverpool.

Stiller could solve Liverpool midfield depth issue
Liverpool were keen on signing Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad last summer to play at the base of midfield, but the Spaniard rejected the move.
Ryan Gravenberch then successfully adapted to the number six position, and established himself as the starter in the role.
However, a lack of depth for Gravenberch has proven to be an issue, and the Dutchman has been overplayed as a result.
A player with the quality of Stiller could comfortably step into his role, and even play alongside Gravenberch.
Liverpool crashed out of the cups and the Champions League with fatigue playing a part, and increased midfield depth would help them perform better across all competitions next season.
Although Liverpool may have priorities in the defence and attack, Stiller could still be a necessary signing if they are to maintain the quality of the squad going into next season.
