Liverpool ready £42m transfer bid to sign Milos Kerkez in new signing update
Liverpool have been interested in Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez for a while and have now taken a step forward in acquiring the Hungarian.
The Reds will go shopping extensively in the summer transfer window as key players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk could leave at the end of the season.
In addition to strengthening those positions, the Merseysiders are also looking to reinforce the left-back area and Kerkez has been identified as one of the top targets.

Liverpool prepare Kerkez offer
The 21-year-old left-back has been on Liverpool’s radar for a long time, with Liverpool News revealing back in January that a deal would cost around £40million.
Kerkez has been impressive at the Vitality Stadium since his move from AZ Alkmaar last summer. In 29 Premier League appearances, the Hungarian has two goals and six assists to his name as he has continued to shine in the Cherries backline.
A few days ago, reports revealed that Bournemouth would not stop Kerkez from leaving the South Coast side if a decent offer arrived at the table.
Competition | Matches | Goals | Assists |
Premier League | 29 | 2 | 6 |
FA Cup | 3 | 0 | 0 |
Liverpool seems ready to make an offer for the 21-year-old with Fichajes now reporting that the Anfield club is preparing a £42million bid.
Arne Slot’s side need to strengthen the left-back position as Andy Robertson is on the wrong side of the thirty and his performances have dwindled this season. The Scotsman has not provided any goal contributions in the Premier League and looked a shadow of himself.

Kerkez is the perfect Robertson successor
The Reds have enjoyed the services of Robertson for seven seasons as he and Alexander-Arnold forged a formidable partnership as full-backs.
Robertson was able to provide a blend of attacking creativity and defensive solidity which allowed the Reds to flourish from the back. With the 31-year-old’s contract expiring at the end of 2026, the Merseysiders must plan for life after his potential departure.
Bringing Kerkez this summer gives him enough time to settle in the squad and adapt to the playing style before taking over the mantle from Robertson in the 2026-27 season.
The Hungarian has shown what he’s capable of and if he can deliver similar results at Anfield, he will soon become a fan favourite.
