Mohamed Salah to bounce back at perfect time for Liverpool v Everton
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is comfortably one of the best players in the world this season.
He has notched an incredible return of 32 goals and 22 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions for the Reds this term.
Salah also scored a goal and created an assist in Egypt’s 2-0 win over Ethiopia in the international break, showing that his appetite for goal contributions never fades.
Meanwhile, Arne Slot’s men remain optimistic that the prolific forward will renew his terms at Anfield as opposed to leaving the Merseyside giants when his contract expires this summer.

Salah went missing in Liverpool’s recent defeats
The Reds faithful are rightfully delighted that Salah’s return of 27 goals and 17 assists in the Premier League this term has helped Slot’s men enjoy a 12-point lead over second-place Arsenal.
However, the league title is now the only remaining piece of silverware Liverpool are still fighting for, and Salah is largely at fault for that.
When Slot’s men exited the Champions League via a penalty shootout defeat to PSG on 11 March, the Egypt international was far from his best as he directed just one of his four shots on target.
Then, when the Reds were beaten by Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final on 16 March, Salah was anonymous as he failed to register a single shot and had fewer touches (23) than any outfield player who played 90 minutes [FotMob].

Salah can make up for recent woes if he gets back to his best v Everton
While Salah was not his usual self when Liverpool crashed out of the Champions League as well as losing out at Wembley, he can make up for it by returning to his best in Wednesday’s Merseyside Derby.

Local pride is on the line when the Reds host Everton, but the men from Anfield have not beaten the Blues since their 2-0 victory in October 2023.
But if Salah, who scored a brace in the Merseyside Derby in October 2023, can fire Slot’s men to a win on Wednesday, he will be able to move on from his poor performances of late and look to enjoy a successful end to what promises to be a fruitful campaign for Liverpool.
A win over Everton would provide the Reds with yet another major step towards claiming their first Premier League title since 2020, while Slot will be desperate to enjoy a victory over the Toffees for the first time.
