Robertson Liverpool exit ‘edges closer’ as £25m Italian development emerges
Andy Robertson looks set to leave Liverpool this summer.
The left-back has enjoyed Premier League and Champions League success at Anfield since his £8.5million switch from Hull City in 2017.
However, the Reds are in the market for a replacement, with the Scotland captain coming to an end at the top level despite his contract running until 2026.
A new development from Italy may accelerate his departure.

Robertson replacement lined up by Liverpool
Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez has been linked with a move to the Reds but they may decide to go in a different direction.
A report from Gazzetta Dello Sport (26 March) claims that the Anfield outfit have joined Manchester City as suitors for Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso.
The Italian club could allow the 25-year-old to leave for a fee of £25m due to financial issues, according to the report.

Liverpool need to get their Robertson replacement right
The Scotsman has been a fantastic servant for the Merseyside club but he is not at the peak of his powers right now.
The Reds need to upgrade on the 31-year-old but they must get their replacement right, especially with Trent Alexander-Arnold expected to join Real Madrid.

The move may force Slot to adopt a different tactical approach from his full-back and potentially play with a more defensive player on one side.
That could spell disaster for Robertson if Slot decides to go with a right-back that is in a similar mould to the England star and a more defensive left-back.
The former Celtic youth ace’s pace and physicality has declined massively and the likes of Kerkez and Cambiaso would offer a much more athletic and reliable profile going into next season.
The Juventus man may prove to be the better option as he would be available at a cut-price due to the Italian club’s finances and that would allow the L4 outfit to invest more heavily in other areas of the squad rather than spending £40 million plus on Kerkez.
It remains to be seen if Robertson departs but given the Reds interest in several options in his position that would not likely settle for a place on the bench, it seems likely that he will move on.
