Harvey Elliott ‘finished at Liverpool’ after Sky Sports update
Harvey Elliott has struggled to force his way into Arne Slot’s plans at Liverpool this season.
The England Under-21 international featured significantly under Jurgen Klopp but has had to settle for a reduced role under the Dutchman.
Elliott has only featured for a total of 583 minutes in all competitions for the Reds in a tough campaign on a personal level for the former Fulham ace.
There were hopes that he could revive his chances under Slot after his late strike against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League but the new update seems to pour cold water on that possibility.

Elliott set to leave Liverpool
Elliott seems likely to leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window as he has been unable to grasp many first-team opportunities.
A report from Sky Sports reporter Melissa Reddy (28 March) claims that the 21-year-old is surplus to requirements at Anfield.
It states that a “good offer” for the midfielder would be accepted for the left-footed maestro.

Liverpool are making a mistake allowing Elliott to leave
Elliott loves the Anfield club, having grown up as a supporter, and supporters appreciate his relentless work ethic when he does get a chance to be on the pitch.
The young Reds star is one of the most promising talents in English football, he just needs a run of games to get back into his rythym.
Competitions | Matches | Minutes |
Premier League | 11 | 121 |
Champions League | 5 | 168 |
FA Cup | 2 | 180 |
Carabao Cup | 3 | 114 |
Given the form of Mohamed Salah on the right-wing and the likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai in the centre of midfield, it is no surprise that he has struggled to get a look in but he still has plenty more to offer the club.
Player development is not linear, some breakout earlier than others, giving up on Elliott at this juncture of his career could turn out to be a huge error if he stars for another team, particularly a Premier League rival.
The former Fulham youth ace enjoyed a stunning campaign last season, putting up some of the best creative numbers in the top-flight, he is more than capable of playing a significant role, whether he will get the chance, remains to be seen.
