Liverpool make final Conor Bradley decision at Anfield after Alexander-Arnold bombshell

Conor Bradley has consistently impressed at Liverpool as Trent Alexander-Arnold’s deputy.

Alexander-Arnold is one of three Liverpool stars whose contracts expire at the end of the season, while the futures of defender Virgil van Dijk and prolific forward Mo Salah are yet to be decided.

Bradley burst onto the scene for the Reds last campaign, making 23 appearances in Jurgen Klopp’s last season at Anfield.

He notched an impressive return of one goal and six assists in that time, but an injury has thwarted his progress under new boss Arne Slot.

Alexander-Arnold exit bombshell

As reported by TalkSPORT on 25 March, Reds hero Alexander-Arnold has agreed to join Real Madrid.

Amid that news, which will be a tough pill for Liverpool fans to swallow, Slot and Co have set their sights on Feyenoord right-back Givairo Read, as per Caught Offside.

Read has heavily impressed for Slot’s former club this season by creating seven assists in 24 appearances across all competitions.

Read interest hands Bradley a boost

Now that the world-class Alexander-Arnold is set to leave Liverpool in favour of a move to Madrid, Slot has no choice but to acquire a new right-back this summer.

However, the fact that the Reds have set their sights on Feyenoord’s Read could be a positive sign for Bradley, who may be set to be Slot’s first-choice right-back next term.

Read is still in the infancy of his career at just 18 years old and had made just one senior appearance for his current club ahead of this season.

It appears that Liverpool may view Read as a long-term project, which could mean that Bradley is set to assume first-team duties next season once Alexander-Arnold leaves the club.

Slot could have been tempted to sign an experienced top-level player to fill the void which will be left by Alexander-Arnold, but instead has set his sights on Read, which can only be good news for Bradley.
