Liverpool injury news as major Ryan Gravenberch update shared pre-Everton
Ryan Gravenberch sustained an injury in the Carabao Cup final which forced him to withdraw from the Netherlands squad and made him a doubt for Liverpool’s clash with Everton.
Injuries have been a cause of concern for Arne Slot in recent weeks. With Liverpool shifting all their focus to lifting the Premier League title, the Dutchman needs a fit and firing squad at his disposal.
Before the international break, Liverpool suffered a major injury setback as vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold was ruled out of the team as he picked up an injury during the Champions League clash at Anfield.
In the Carabao Cup final, the Reds suffered two injury scares as Harvey Elliot was seen limping after the final and Gravenberch seemed to have picked up a knock.
Now, an important injury update regarding Gravenberch has emerged before Liverpool’s clash with Everton in the Merseyside derby.

Gravenberch update emerges ahead of Merseyside derby
Gravenberch has been pivotal in Slot’s team this season. His consistent performances from the middle of the park have been one of the biggest factors for Liverpool’s dominance in the league.
Playing as a deep-lying midfielder, Gravenberch is able to use his technical skills to help the Reds control the possession and initiate attacks by stringing passes and evading opposition.
His presence in the Liverpool side is vital if they want to continue their easy cruise to the Premier League title.
However, his continuity for near future came in question when he suffered a knock in the EFL Cup final that Liverpool lost to Newcastle.
Fears about a possible injury grew when the Dutchman withdrew from the national squad ahead of their Nations League quarter-finals against Spain.

The Oranje released a statement confirming that the 22-year-old suffered an injury last weekend and that will prevent him from taking any part in the games against Spain.
BBC reporter Nizaar Kinsella has now provided some much-needed relief to the Liverpool fans, as he reported that Gravenberch pulled out of the international fixtures as a precautionary measure and should be fit for Liverpool’s title charge.
He tweeted on X: “Told Ryan Gravenberch pulled out of the Netherlands squad for precautionary reasons. He should be ready for Liverpool’s important title run-in.”
Alisson returns to Liverpool from Brazil camp
In a separate injury development, Liverpool’s No.1 keeper Alisson suffered a clash of heads with Colombia’s Davinson Sanchez and had to be brought off after undergoing treatment on the pitch.
The clash of heads has triggered a concussion protocol as the 32-year-old will now undergo checks including a CT scan, imaging tests and a diffusion MRI. If the reports are clear, Alisson will then undergo cognitive tests.
The statement from the Brazil Football Federation confirmed that despite the head injury, Alisson is normal without any complaints.
The Reds have confirmed that the Brazilian has returned to the club, where he will undergo checks and will continue to be monitored. His inclusion in the squad for the Merseyside derby will depend on the test results.
