Liverpool fans beg ‘Agent Szoboszlai’ to seal Kerkez deal after what’s happened

Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez.

The Hungarian defender is reportedly Liverpool’s number one target to replace Andy Robertson, whose Anfield career is seemingly coming to an end.

Liverpool News revealed in January that a potential deal for the 21-year-old would cost over £40million, with the Merseysiders ready to gazump the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City.

Speculation has only been increased by the actions of current Anfield star Dominic Szoboszlai, while the duo were on national duty together.

Szoboszlai urged to bring Kerkez to Liverpool

Given Szoboszlai’s links to Kerkez, it would not be a surprise if he has talked to his compatriot about moving to Anfield.

The Cherries ace posted a picture of the duo in training before the 3-1 loss to Turkey (20 March) and the Reds star’s reaction has sent social media into overdrive.

The former RB Leipzig midfielder liked the post, leading supporters to come to the obvious conclusion.

Liverpool fans beg Kerkez to join

Kerkez would be a quality addition in a summer of change for Arne Slot’s side as questions remain about the state of the squad.

The likes of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold could all leave for free, with their contracts expiring at the end of the season.

One supporter labelled the Reds star as “agent Szoboszlai” and asked him to “bring the boy home”.

Another commented, saying: “tell him Liverpool is a beautiful city, Szobo tell him.”

A third fan shared his defence for next season, saying: “Kerkez , Van Dijk , Konate , Frimpong.”

Another suggested that Szoboszlai’s action confirm the move, saying: “Szoboslai Liking Kerkez’s post everytime tells you all.

One said that “Agent Szobo” was “working overtime” to convince the Cherries star to join him at Anfield.

Meanwhile, at left-back, Robertson is not the same player that once was and the Reds may decide to upgrade on the man who helped them to Premier League and Champions League success under Jurgen Klopp.

Kerkez would tie down the position long-term for the Anfield outfit as he has proved his ability as a solid defensive player in the top-flight in his 57 appearances since his move from AZ Alkmaar.

The Hungary international has also emerged as an attacking threat with two goals and six assists in his career in England so far and looks set for a move to a higher quality team.

The Merseysiders sporting director Richard Hughes signed the Cherries ace during his time on the South Coast and his relationship with his former club would likely make a deal easier to complete.

Kerkez’s close relationship with Szoboszlai suggests that he would have no issues settling in at Anfield.
