Liverpool fans thrilled about ‘perfect’ £40m transfer news – ‘One of the best’

Arne Slot will look to rebuild the Liverpool squad in his image this summer, and fans are thrilled about one potential signing at Anfield.

Liverpool look set to clinch their second Premier League title this season.

Therefore, those with little knowledge of the situation at the club wouldn’t be blamed for assuming that Slot’s side doesn’t need any major work this summer.

However, that is far from the case. With Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who might have already played his final game for Liverpool, all out of contract at the end of the season, it is going to be a big summer at Anfield.

Meanwhile, there are a few other areas of the squad which perhaps need upgrading, and supporters are buzzing about one potential player who could be signed in defence.

Liverpool want to sign ‘Andy Robertson replacement’

Therefore, the defender could be replaced by Slot as soon as this summer. As reported by the iPaper (20 March), Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez has been identified as a potential replacement for Robertson.

Robertson has insisted he isn’t concerned by these links. However, it seems as though plenty of Liverpool supporters are ready to see the Scotsman replaced by Kerkez at Anfield.

Kerkez would be a fantastic signing for Liverpool

Robertson has certainly displayed signs this season that he is a player who is past his best. Therefore, bringing in a young left-back full of energy would be a smart move by Liverpool.

Signing Kerkez now would also allow the youngster to learn from Robertson next season.
