Virgil van Dijk set for shock Liverpool exit after new Anfield footage – ‘Blame FSG’, ‘He’s leaving’
Virgil van Dijk is yet to sign a new contract at Liverpool with a huge summer of change potentially ahead at Anfield.
Liverpool are marching towards the Premier League title this season, but Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all in the final months of their contracts.
After crashing out of the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain, all eyes are on the Carabao Cup final with Newcastle on Sunday, followed by lifting the Premier League title.

Virgil van Dijk caught out in PSG moment
Liverpool supporters have had plenty to cheer about this season with life under Arne Slot getting off to a sensational start.
However, on Tuesday, it was a night of disappointment for the Reds who lost on penalties against PSG to leave the Champions League at the round of 16 phase.
Team | Possession | Shots | Shots on target |
Liverpool | 45% | 19 | 3 |
PSG | 55% | 21 | 8 |
Supporters were subjected to further disappointment after the game, when van Dijk was pictured talking to PSG leaders Nasser al-Khelaïfi and Luis Campos in the Anfield tunnel.
With his future unknown, Liverpool supporters jumped to conclusions, with many convinced that the Dutch giant is heading for the exit this summer.
Liverpool supporters criticise FSG business
Liverpool have done plenty right over the several years, but to have three core players out of contract at the same point is certainly a naive situation to end up in.
Supporters have seen this latest footage and suggested their captain could be making the move to Paris at the end of the season and took to X to display their disapproval.
Van Dijk’s conversation doesn’t mean anything concrete and supporters can’t jump to conclusions as gospel, but it is not the best look, especially after the Reds lost the Champions League tie.
Liverpool will surely need to put their attentions into the summer soon enough though and give supporters some clarity about what lies ahead.
Will Van Dijk be part of that? Only time will tell.
