Liverpool ‘to win Premier League smart’ after stunning new financial paperwork emerges

Liverpool are well on track to win the Premier League title this season and could well do it without breaking the bank.

Although Arne Slot only joined Liverpool in the summer, he has got off to a flying start as Reds boss with his side looking unstoppable.

The Merseyside outfit currently sit 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League and having lost just one league game this season, the title is almost wrapped up.

Liverpool to win the Premier League with no financial stress

Liverpool certainly have several world-class players in their squad, which has helped fire them forwards of late, but unlike other sides, there has been no feeling of the Reds buying the league.

With Slot having inherited a strong squad already, he still managed to strengthen and build off the legacy of Jurgen Klopp.

Sepp van den Berg and Fabio Carvalho were also both offloaded in the summer transfer window, bringing some money into Anfield too.

It seems as though the transfer strategy in Merseyside has paid off too as Kieran Maguire shared Liverpool’s accounts for 2023/24, noting that their net spend this season is just £0.1million.

Maguire added: “Further evidence that spending smart, not spending big, is what really counts.”

Liverpool succeeding on and off the pitch

Being so dominant in the Premier League while also having a low net spend is very impressive and will certainly serve the Reds well.

As Maguire points out, Liverpool may not have had the highest turnover of players but they are spending their money wisely and the new additions are elevating the side without draining the bank accounts.

With an excellent managerial appointment in Slot too, this has worked out perfectly for the Reds, with the likes of Ryan Gravenberch shining brightly throughout.

It will be a big summer for Slot as he looks to retain some key players with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah all out of contract.

However, if people do need replacing, the Reds are certainly in a healthy position to do so.
