Liverpool have easy Kerkez decision to make after latest transfer news
Liverpool have seemingly been given the answer to whether they should pursue a move for Milos Kerkez in the summer window after some fresh news has emerged.
It’s no secret that the Reds have been one of the most dominant forces in the Premier League this season as they currently sit 13 points clear of second-placed Arsenal.
However, as with any team in football, there’s always room for improvement and at the moment, the Reds’ left-back has been a hot topic of conversation.
The futures of Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas have been consistently discussed and with this new update on Kerkez, their time at Anfield could be coming to an end.

Bournemouth want £50m for Kerkez in summer
The Hungary international has been linked with a move to Merseyside since the start of the 2024/25 campaign after he burst onto the scene with Bournemouth.
Kerkez has been key to Andoni Iraola’s tactical style this term and he’d likely slot straight into Robertson’s role if and when needed to.
And, if a fresh report from TBR Football (4 March) is to be believed, Liverpool could end up making a move for the left-back in the summer.
As per Graeme Bailey, Liverpool now have a three-man shortlist for left-back with Fulham’s Antonee Robinson and Ajax’s Jorrel Hato taking the other places on the list.
However, the report goes on to add that the Cherries are now “ready to sell” Kerkez and would only be looking for a fee worth around £50million.
The Merseyside outfit aren’t alone in the race, however, as AC Milan have also thrown their hat into the ring.

Liverpool should make a move for Kerkez
While a fee of £50million might seem like a fair chunk of change, for a player of Kerkez’s quality and age, it would be a more than worthwhile investment for Liverpool.
The left-back is still only 21-years-old which outlines how much of a future he could potentially have ahead of him, which, in the eyes of the Reds is likely one of their main criteria for any new arrivals.
Competition | Games | Goals | Assists |
Premier League | 27 | 2 | 4 |
FA Cup | 3 | 0 | 0 |
Granted, the 2024/25 campaign is the first where the youngster has really made a name for himself but with the quality he’s shown thus far, it’s a no-brainer.
Although the futures of Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah are all still hanging in the balance, thinking ahead for the summer window should be a priority for Slot.
Of course, only time will tell what the future holds but with a fee of just £50million being all it would take to pry the Hungary international away from the Vitality, Liverpool seemingly have an easy decision to make.
