Liverpool travel to Paris Saint-Germain as the knockout stages of the Champions League begin this week.

The Reds will be hoping the continue their momentum in Europe in the French capital (5 March) and put one foot into the quarter-finals.

The fact that the second leg is at Anfield is a huge factor for Arne Slot's side and if they can secure a positive result, they will be heavy favourites to progress.

Preview

Liverpool have not lost since since the FA Cup defeat to Plymouth (9 February) but that was a heavily rotated side as was the team that lost on the final league-phase matchday to PSV (29 January).

The Reds have secured a 13-point gap at the summit of the Premier League with an impressive string of results including wins over Manchester City and Newcastle.

Focus now switches to Europe, with Slot's charges looking to maintain their near-flawless record in the competition.

Meanwhile, the hosts have not lost in 22 matches since a 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich (26 November) and thrashed Lille, who the Merseysiders only just edged a victory against, with a 4-1 win.

Prediction: PSG 1-2 Liverpool

Slot's side have an almost impeccable away record in the competition so far this season with their only dropped points coming in the dead-rubber loss to PSV.

They could secure a vital lead for the second leg at Anfield, they have the quality to dismantle the Parisians.
