Kostas Tsimikas ‘surely finished at Liverpool’ after latest transfer news
Kostas Tsimikas’ time as a Liverpool player could come to an end in the summer transfer window.
While the self-proclaimed Greek scouser was brought in to be Andy Robertson’s number two at first, things have stayed that way since his arrival.
The Reds have been in fine form this season but more often than not, Tsimikas has failed to live up to expectations when called upon.
With transfer rumours starting to heat up, a cloud of uncertainty has started to form over his Anfield future and if the latest news is anything to go by, he could be finished at Liverpool.

Liverpool chasing deal to sign Antonee Robinson
According to a report from Rousing the Kop (1 March), Fulham’s Antonee Robinson has been identified as a potential target for the Reds.
The report suggests that the US international is being eyed by Liverpool as a replacement for Tsimikas rather than Robertson despite the poor form the Scotsman has shown this term.
He would, however, be expected to battle for a place in the starting XI with Robinson a candidate who is thought of rather fondly by those within Anfield.
At this stage in his career, Tsimikas has won almost everything while representing the Reds and to be quite frank, has likely had enough of being second choice.

Robinson would be a stellar coup for the Anfield outfit
Robinson has been in fine form this season and is often touted as one of Fulham’s best players.
This season alone, the left-back has played 27 Premier League games and has chipped in with 10 assists for his teammates.
While his role within Marco Silva’s squad is fairly advanced, the left-back would have to focus on his defensive work if he made the switch to Anfield as Slot pushes his midfield three forward with Szoboszlai often making the most out of that opportunity.
However, with the width that Liverpool play when facing most opponents, the left-back’s attacking prowess will certainly be allowed to shine through.
Season | Games in Premier League | Assists |
2024/24 | 27 | 10 |
2023/24 | 37 | 6 |
2022/23 | 35 | 1 |
Only time will tell what the future holds but if these transfer rumours are true, Tsimikas’ days as a Liverpool player could be numbered.
Which, while sad to think about, could end up being the best thing for both parties, especially if Liverpool want to start consistently competing as one of the best teams in world football.
Because, at the end of the day, with the summer transfer window just around the corner, their title rivals will already be thinking about ways to dethrone Slot’s men next term, which cannot be allowed to happen.
