Harvey Elliott ‘angry’ at what Arne Slot did to him in Liverpool v Newcastle
Harvey Elliott may have left Liverpool’s win against Newcastle on Wednesday rather unhappy despite the fact they were victorious.
The Reds managed to add another three points to their Premier League tally thanks to their win and now have 67 to their name.
Their victory at Anfield also means that second-place Arsenal are now 13 points behind them which is a fairly lofty deficit for them to make up, especially when there are only around 10 games left of the season.

Tim Sherwood believes Elliott will be annoyed to not be given a chance to play for Liverpool
Elliott was Jurgen Klopp’s star boy and was often given chances over the likes of Curtis Jones when the German was in charge.
This season, however, Slot has hardly afforded the former Fulham man a chance with Tim Sherwood believing that he could end up looking for a way out of Liverpool if more chances don’t start cropping up soon.

“I’m sure they’re not happy with it [being knocked out of the FA Cup,” he said while live on Sky Sports News (26 February, 10:16pm).
“They fielded that side against Plymouth that they thought was good enough to win and it probably was.
“The trouble is for players like Harvey Elliott, I watched him and I was really impressed by what I saw and you know, the other boys are coming onto the pitch and they’ve made five subs tonight and still no Harvey Elliott.
“He’s not happy, he was sat there and his face was so angry and I quite admire that, that boy isn’t going to just sit there and not play, he will want to leave that football club.”

Elliott needs to be given a chance to prove his worth to Liverpool
From the moment that Elliott joined Liverpool, it’s evident that he’s a player bursting at the seams with talent.
The Englishman can play in the centre of the park or on either wing and also has a keen eye for goal.
While he may not have been in the best form this season when called upon, there’s still a very good player within him that Slot could make use of within his squad.
Instead, the Dutchman has opted to start the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai, Jones and Alexis Mac Allister in the more advanced midfield roles but on paper, Elliott has much of the same qualities as the trio.
If Slot doesn’t give the 21-year-old a chance to prove his worth and show that he deserves to be a Liverpool player, he could slip from their grasp and choose to take his talent elsewhere.
Which, with the golden generation that the Reds seemingly have on their hands with the likes of Rio Ngumoha and Connor Bradley among their ranks, would be nothing short of a travesty.
Because, with the form that some of the youngsters have shown when called upon this season, Liverpool seem to have found themselves yet another group of players who could become the best in the league.
Which would then allow the Merseyside outfit to continue proving why they’re one of the best teams in world football.
