Mohamed Salah returns to crash Goodison farewell – Liverpool predicted XI v Everton
Arne Slot is likely to make wholesale changes to his Liverpool starting XI as they gear up to face Everton in the Premier League on Wednesday.
The Reds have been one of the best teams in the Premier League this season with the quality among their ranks often being too much for their opponents to handle.
It will be the last-ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on 12 February so both teams will be readying themselves for an all-out war.
Arne Slot to make plenty of changes to his Liverpool starting XI
Alisson will more than likely make a return to Slot’s starting XI to replace Caoimhin Kelleher, who hasn’t had the best of times recently.
The Reds could line up with an entirely new look defence with Connor Bradley, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson all making their way back into the team.
While Kostas Tsimikas put in a decent effort against Plymouth, the Scotsman is Liverpool’s best option at left-back, as he starred with a pass accuracy of 85 per cent in their 4-0 win over Spurs in the Carabao Cup semi-final [Sofascore].
Ryan Gravenberch could also return to the team after he won 66 per cent of the ground duels he attempted against Ange Postecoglou’s men, dominating those around him.
Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai are the duo who are likely to sit just ahead of the Dutchman with the latter becoming integral to Slot’s game plan each game.
Against Tottenham, Szoboszlai managed to bag himself a goal, maintain a pass accuracy of 90 per cent and also made five key passes.
The attacking trio is likely what Liverpool’s fans will be most excited by as Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez could all make a return to help earn the Reds a much-needed win after their performance against Plymouth last time out.

Salah has often carried the Merseyside outfit on his back with his creativity and keen eye for goal both key to the Reds’ performances.
Against Tottenham, his performance was no different either as he contributed to two goals, had four shots on target, made two key passes and maintained a pass accuracy of 73 per cent.
These are all things that Slot’s men miss when he isn’t part of the squad so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see the Egyptian King leading their attacking line once again.
Arne Slot needs to lead Liverpool to a win
The defeat against Plymouth on Sunday has certainly raised a few questions about Liverpool’s squad depth but that doesn’t mean they can’t perform against their arch-rivals.
Fans are obviously disappointed by the defeat against a team that’s currently sitting at the bottom of the Championship but if they manage to beat Everton on Wednesday, all will likely be forgotten.
Only time will tell what the future has in store for Liverpool but until the game kicks off, all eyes will be on Slot’s men to see whether they can bounce back from their humbling against the Pilgrims.
