Liverpool ‘make Ben Doak transfer decision’ after £16m Ipswich Town bid

Liverpool are not listening to any bids for Ben Doak on the final day of the winter transfer window, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The news outlet reported via its website [3 February] that the Reds are happy for the 19-year-old to remain on loan with Middlesbrough and return to Anfield at the end of the campaign.

Ipswich Town had made a bid of £16million for Doak earlier in the window but the Merseyside outfit turned this down as they value him closer to the £30million mark [Paul Joyce].

Ben Doak set to remain a Liverpool player

Doak has had an impressive loan spell with Middlesbrough so far this season, and with three goals and seven assists across the campaign, it’s no wonder he is gaining interest from sides who want to get his services permanently.

Alongside Ipswich, Crystal Palace also showed interest in the youngster and made a bid but the Reds are doing the right thing by keeping him in their ranks for the time being [Paul Joyce].

Arne Slot has shown he is not afraid to use the young talent in his squad if they are performing to the standard he needs, which makes it an exciting time to be at Anfield.

Furthermore, with the 19-year-old lighting up the Championship, he could well have a big future ahead of him which makes it an exciting prospect for the Reds too.

With a value nearly double the bids put in so far, it doesn’t seem as though Liverpool will have to worry about this one in the final hours of the transfer window.

In other Liverpool news, two exits are expected before the winter transfer window closes.
