Arne Slot has shared that late decisions will be made on whether Joe Gomez, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez will be available for Liverpool against Bournemouth.

The Reds have been missing Gomez and Jota through injury while Nunez was unable to play in the Reds' Champions League loss against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday (29 January) due to illness.

All three players are now back in training and as Slot's side travel to Bournemouth on Saturday (1 February), he will hope to have as full a squad as possible.

When asked about their involvement in his pre-match press conference (31 January), Slot said: “That’s something we have to wait and see today because we have probably also more than 20 players available. We always have more than 20 available but the ones that are mostly there.

“So, we have to make the smartest decision for them, but also for winning the game tomorrow.”

Liverpool receive a boost ahead of Bournemouth

The Reds have no lost in the Premier League since September and, even though a makeshift side lost to PSV, they will be full of confidence heading to the South Coast.

However, although the Cherries are missing a number of key players themselves for the fixture, they have had a very impressive season and on home turf, it won't be an easy game.

With this in mind, the Liverpool boss will be glad to have these three players back in training and possibly available for selection in Saturday's game as it serves as a big boost to his side.

The manager is lucky that with the talent in his squad, he is not pressured to rush any of the players back if they are not ready just for the purpose of getting a result.

However, having the availability will only serve as a boost as the Merseyside outfit keep their eyes firmly on the top spot this term.
