View: Liverpool predicted XI vs Real Betis – Arne Slot to name youthful line-up
Arne Slot will name his first Liverpool starting line-up tonight as his side faces Real Betis in Pittsburgh for the first match of the pre-season tour of the USA.
The Reds will be without 10 senior players for the start of the tour due to Copa America and Euro 2024 participation over the summer.
Diogo Jota linked up with the side yesterday and Ibrahima Konate and Ryan Gravenberch will join the side later in the tour (liverpoolfc.com, 25 July).
Slot took charge of his first pre-season match in a behind-closed-doors encounter with Preston North End last week (19 July) but Liverpool fans will finally be able to see their new manager in action in the USA.
Liverpool potential XI with youthful line-up
All eyes will be on Slot tonight as he names his first public Liverpool team and will be expected to name his strongest possible side.
Alisson is still unavailable following his Copa America duties with Brazil, Caiomhin Kelleher will step in between the posts.
Conor Bradley will feature at right-back with Trent Alexander-Arnold yet to return, and Kostas Tsimikas will fill in at left-back with Andy Robertson missing the tour due to injury.
Jarell Quansah will form a partnership with Sepp van den Berg at centre-back, with the Dutchman aiming to force his way into Slot’s plans or impress potential suitors ahead of a permanent move away from Anfield.
Wataru Endo will be the anchor of the midfield and will start behind a pairing of Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai, the Hungarian will look to put down a marker for the season and move past his Euro 2024 disappointment.
The omission of Jayden Danns leaves Liverpool without an out-an-out striker with Diogo Jota unlikely to start having just joined the squad. Mohammed Salah could start through the middle of the Reds’ attack with Harvey Elliott and Fabio Carvalho on either side of the Egyptian.
Liverpool predicted starting XI

Liverpool fans are eager to see their new manager in action for the first time and Slot will be able to name a lineup capable of dispatching Real Betis in Pittsburgh.
The Reds are yet to make a signing this summer and the tour of the USA is the perfect chance to assess how many new faces are needed for Liverpool to compete next season.
In other Liverpool news, the Reds are reportedly in the final stages of a deal for Takefusa Kubo.
