Liverpool are still on course to complete more transfer business ahead of Monday night's deadline.

Done Deals

Whilst Ekitike has been the star signing so far, he wasn't the most expensive.

Florian Wirtz signed for £116m from Bayer Leverkusen and is still adjusting to the pace of the Premier League.

Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong have added extra quality in both full-back roles, as Liverpool have undergone a rebuild this summer.

Ins - Alexander Isak and Marc Guehi

The saga of the summer looks set to reach its conclusion as Isak's move to Liverpool is being finalised.

Isak has tried to force his exit from Newcastle throughout the window, with the Magpies continuing to hold strong on their stance on the matter.

With a move expected to cost over £120m, Isak would become the most expensive Premier League signing of all time.

  • Isak has scored 62 goals in 109 appearances for Newcastle
  • Joined the Magpies in 2022 for a fee of £63m
  • Scored in the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool last season to end the Magpies 56-year trophy drought

The Reds are also in need of a centre-back, with Crystal palace defender Guehi a long-term target for the club.

Liverpool submitted a £35m bid for Guehi on 30 August, with Palace needing to sign a replacement before they can sanction the move.

The expectation is that even if Guehi can't join this wondow, he will join once his contract expires at Selhurst Park at the end of the season.

However, Liverpool will be despaerate to complete the move, giving them the best chance to compete on all four fronts this season.

Outs: Joe Gomez and Harvey Elliott

Liverpool still have outgoings to deal with, and the Marc Guehi transfer will have significant ramifications on Joe Gomez's future at the club.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano on X, AC Milan are interested in Gomez, yet Liverpool would only let him leave if Guehi were to join.

Gomez has been at Liverpool since 2015, and has been an incredible servant for the club, winning many trophies under Jurgen Klopp.

Another player who could be leaving is Harvey Elliott, who is garnering interest from a host of clubs.

Elliott is set to join RB Leipzig after agreeing personal terms on a four-year deal.

Having never managed to get a consistent starting role under Klopp, or Arne Slot, Elliott looks set to leave the club, with Liverpool valuing the midfielder at £40m.
