Liverpool’s Premier League campaign is coming to a stuttering end after their title victory.

Arne Slot’s side have failed to win a match since they were crowned Premier League champions for a second time.

Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat to Brighton was their second loss in three matches, with the Merseyside club shipping eight goals in this period.

Now, Roy Keane has expressed his anger at the Reds’ passive end to the campaign, believing that it is “classless”.

Keane takes aim at Mohamed Salah amid Liverpool’s winless streak

Liverpool’s overall campaign has no doubt been fantastic. The Merseyside club have cruised to the title and are miles clear of second place.

However, despite Arne Slot’s side breaking a fantastic record against Brighton, the critics are out in full due to their inability to finish the season on form.

Ahead of their final match of the season against Crystal Palace, Ian Wright even predicted a 6-5 scoreline as the Reds remain in party mode.

However, Manchester United legend Keane is bemused by this mentality and has taken aim at Mohamed Salah in particular for his performance.

"Liverpool have switched off – they're irritating me," Keane told the Stick to Football podcast (21 May). “It doesn't matter [that they've won the league], but the fringe players and the B team are coming in – what kind of message is that? I'm thinking come on – show a bit of class.

“Salah scores a goal, and he's taking pictures – the game's still on. Liven up a little bit!"

Liverpool deserve a relaxed end to the 2024/25 season

While it would be nice to see Liverpool win against Crystal Palace on the last day, it isn’t vital.

The Reds’ campaign was done after the victory over Tottenham, and the players now deserve to relax after completing their goal.

Instead, Keane’s anger should be directed towards Arsenal and Man City, who have allowed Liverpool to switch for the final four games due to a lack of a title challenge.

On top of this, Slot should not be questioned by trying out different players in matches which are essentially meaningless.

Hopefully, the Dutchman has learnt some key bits of information about his squad which he can take into the transfer window and next season.
