Liverpool Women will be looking to redeem themselves this season after a miserable campaign last time out.
Matt Beard lost his spot in the Liverpool dugout in February, and Amber Whiteley could not turn their fortunes around in her interim post.
Gareth Taylor has been appointed as the new Liverpool Women boss, but he faces a difficult task to improve on a seventh-place finish in the Women's Super League.
He will have to deal with the fact that Liverpool lost Olivia Smith and Taylor Hinds, two of their most influential players, to Arsenal.
They have a tricky Merseyside derby at Anfield against Everton to start their campaign on Sunday.
Liverpool Women are predicted to have a great season
Liverpool Women looked like a chaotic mess before Taylor was appointed, but the ship seems to have been steadied in the last few weeks.
The Opta Supercomputer reflects this, predicting the Reds to finish fifth in the WSL, which would be a sign of progress.
The model gives Taylor's side a 23.7 per cent chance to finish fifth, with no shot at the title and a 1.8 per cent chance of securing a Champions League berth by finishing in the top three.

Gareth Taylor would take a fifth-place finish
Taylor would probably snap your hands off for a fifth-placed finish before a ball has been kicked.
Given the misery that had engulfed the club before his arrival, it is a minor miracle that they are expected to have such a promising campaign.
- The Merseysiders finished seventh last season, with 25 points, and just seven wins from 22 matches
- Beard's side had finished fourth on their return to the WSL, with 41 points in the 2023/24 campaign
- The Reds last won the WSL title in 2014, retaining their crown from the previous season
Of course, there is a huge gap to reach the level of Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United, but he will be growing in confidence that the gap can be bridged sooner rather than later.
Whether the Reds can live up to the prediction remains to be seen, but their situation is clearly more encouraging than it was a few months ago when Hinds and Smith departed for greener pastures.
