Liverpool make Jarell Quansah mistake after what he has just done for Bayer Leverkusen
Liverpool let Jarrel Quansah leave for £30million to Bayer Leverkusen earlier in the summer.
The 22-year-old had a breakthrough 2023/24 campaign as he played 17 times for the Reds following his loan move to Bristol Rovers.
Despite only previously playing at League One level, Quansah slotted straight into Liverpool's first team.
Arne Slot has been keen to recoup some money to spend elsewhere this summer, with Quansah a victim of his squad overhaul.

Quansah's move to Leverkusen had left Slot's side short in defence.
Liverpool have now filled the gap at the back with the signing of Giovanni Leoni from Parma.
Quansah was seemingly sold to help fund the signing of Hugo Ekitike and the possible addition of Newcastle's Alexander Isak.
However, Slot could regret the decision, with the England under-21 international scoring in his Bundesliga debut against Hoffenheim.
Quansah followed his goal by doing the Diogo Jota celebration, paying his respects.

Quansah kept a clean sheet and looked very comfortable in his competitive debut for Bayer Leverkusen as they beat Grosaspach 4-0 in the German Cup.
His departure has created issues for Slot, despite the Reds making statement signings in attack.
Liverpool could've avoided Ibrahima Konate issue
Should Quansah still have been at Liverpool, they could have strong-armed Ibrahima Konate into signing a contract extension.

They could have elected to play the England under-21 international instead of his French counterpart until he signed a new contract, which would have put Konate's potential move to Real Madrid on hold.
Instead, Slot is now targeting a move for Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi to add depth in defence.
Guehi would likely cost similar to the £30million that Liverpool sold Quansah for, which makes you wonder why the Reds elected to sell him, especially given his fine form in Germany.
