Amorim was understood to be in the running for the Liverpool job, before Arne Slot was appointed, and Reds fans will be glad he did not get the role.
In a segment discussing Amorim's future at Old Trafford, a Sky Sports poll revealed that 46 per cent of fans want him to be given more time.
Former Everton striker Duncan Ferguson joked that they were Reds fans, saying: "I think the 46 per cent of those are Liverpool fans"
Carragher laughed, then host Dave Jones confirmed that it was not, saying: "They're not. They're verified Man United fans."

United's slump does not look like going away anytime soon, which will delight the Anfield faithful.
The dominance that they had under Sir Alex Ferguson ruined many childhoods, and finally, it is the Reds' turn to take revenge.

The ultimate revenge would be if Slot's side could win the title this season, and go above United for the most titles won in English football history, as both sides are currently locked on 20 titles.
Alex Ferguson spoke of knocking the Reds off their perch, and while he may have achieved it when he was in the dugout, it is safe to say that the L4 outfit are back there now, with his former side nowhere near.
Meanwhile, United are worse than the Reds have ever been in the modern era, and there is no sign of a revival coming around the corner, especially for as long as Amorim is in charge.
