Liverpool home stadium
Anfield has been the home of Liverpool since their formation in 1892 but was originally the home of their arch-rivals Everton after being built in 1884.
Liverpool’s first match at Anfield was a 7-1 win over Rotherham in a friendly in September 1892. The first league match in the ground for the Reds was a 4-0 win against Lincoln City on 9 September 1893 in which 5,000 supporters attended.
