Napoli have been strongly linked with a move for Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez this transfer window.

Napoli to snub Nunez transfer if Liverpool don't lower demands

Napoli are ready to move on from signing Nunez this summer if Liverpool don't reduce their demands, as relayed by Anfield Sector.

They shared on X (30 June) that the Serie A giants are ready to snub a transfer for the 26-year-old if the Reds don't change their valuation soon.

That hasn't pleased some of the Anfield faithful, with one terming the decision to ask for a significant fee "baffling".

It's clear the club dont rate Nunez at all which is why they've put out many hit pieces calling out klopp for signing him. So why in the hell are we valuing him for so much then? It's baffling. Accept 45/50m and cut your losses.

Unfortunately Saudi interest has over inflated his actually true value. Fans think we should be getting 50/60m for him when he just isn’t worth that.
The club will know his value and be aware he could stay heading into the final 2 years of his contract.

just lower the price, take the L and move, should have sold him for 70m to saudi when we had the chance- these serie a clubs are broke hence why they are getting cheap deals for pl rejects and washed players near retirement

Liverpool must make Nunez transfer decision soon

Nunez's exit from Liverpool feels inevitable, and it doesn't help anyone to keep him around for much longer.

The Reds would be prudent to accept a reasonable offer from Napoli for the Uruguayan ace and reinvest that to reinforce the squad.

Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak is still being eyed by the Merseyside outfit, and they could use the money generated from Nunez and other players' sales to make a concrete bid for the Sweden international.

Arne Slot clearly doesn't seem to trust the 26-year-old centre-forward after opting to play other players as his starting number nine last season.

While Liverpool spent a massive amount of money on the Uruguay international, they will undoubtedly have to take a significant loss after he has failed to live up to expectations at Anfield.

The Reds have done some astute business this summer with the addition of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez.

While Richard Hughes has pulled off some impressive deals recently, supporters feel a quality centre-forward could take the Merseyside outfit to the next level.
